Getting SaaS adopted at an enterprise level

By Ben Kepes

Is hard… simple as that

What WILL however help it along is things like the announcement today (with a hat tip to MF) that Fronde has just been appointed the first Google enterprises partner for New Zealand. Fronde will be Google’s first partner in New Zealand for the Google Security, Compliance and eDiscovery products as well as Google Apps.

Even if Fronde does nothing with Google (and I’m sure they WILL be proactive) someone like Fronde, with it’s enterprise credibility, partnering with Google is sure to see a higher understanding of SaaS in this country.

Well done Fronde and methinks it might be time for a local version of the Office 2.0 conference – New Zealand is seeing a groundswell in SaaS understanding and awareness.

As I understand it Fronde also have a small team dedicated to Salesforce implementations so this announcement will compliment that and build the enterprise Saas space in NZ

E-discovery reflects the natural collision of technology and legal practice. As an enterprise creates an ever-growing mountain of records, adversaries of course want access to it. Knowing that litigation and e-discovery are inevitable, an enterprise can use technology proactively to make records more benign. 3. ‘SalesForce.com team’ – small is the word and located in Auckland.

I have the feel (and that’s all it is) that this is an Auckland thang. But I hope the Wellington office recognise how big a deal this can be …
