Thanks for the post. I don’t know what your overall impression of the Herald is (or large parts of NZ’s media for that matter), but if you’re not already familiar with it you might find this blog of some amusement, in a depressing way.

I’ve lost respect for the majority of NZ’s media these days. I listen to some of National Radio (and find MediaWatch a great listen), I sometimes watch snippets of our botoxed prime-time commercial-selling television entertainment news because it has pictures, and there are a few gems of journalism that pop up in unexpected places from time to time, but overall I’m sick of it.

But yeah, that’s just my opinion which has become rather trampled over the years. I wonder if I’m missing anything on FreeView or pay TV. Some shows like Media 7 might be quite good if Russell Brown’s blog is anything to go by, and I’ve streamed the occasional one.
