In the oh-so-exciting world of storage, innovation tends to be somewhat incremental – unsurprising given the fairly mature status of the industry. I’m led to believe that HP will be making a significant storage-related announcement at Discover EMEA in December, an event that I’ll be attending. While storage is kind of the poor child of all things cloud and big-data – it’s also one of the core parts of technology that is still, and always will be, needed – the quantity of data is only increasing, we continue to need metaphorical pigeon holes to put it all in.

Anyway – to kick off the discussion, HP are holding a webinar next week, Thursday 1 Nov at 2pm PT where David Scott, GM of HP Storage and Chris Evans, Storage Consultant/Industry Blogger, will be having a candid conversation on the systemic gaps left by legacy storage.

I’m interested to hear what will be discussed – if for no other reason than to see a massive IT vendor (HP) innovate within an existing marketplace – if you’re so inclined, you can join the webinar too. Details below
