Images lifted from MySpace private profiles….

By Ben Kepes

News that  a file creator has compiled a 17Gb file containing over half a million images lifted from MySpace pages. Seems some of the images were public but significant numbers where from private profiles including those of under 16 year olds.

MySpace has since close the security hole but it’s an important reminder that we shouldn’t post anything that we absolutely can’t handle being made public.

And more fuel for the fire for those claiming that online is a risky proposition. SaaS providers need to remember that security is paramount.
