I got an email today from Bevan over at 1Place. Their accounting solution targeted at micro business is now up and live and ready for subscribers.
Bevan was keen to point out that they are operating in a very different space from Xero, realistically their main target is sole traders I guess. They have an interesting pricing structure based on numbers of invoices sent;

The pricing structure would lend itself to traders doing a small number of relatively high priced jobs – I’m thinking jobbing tradesmen and the like.
Possibly some accounts payable functionality would be a good thing and some simple inventory capability might help the ma and Pa TradeMe enterprises but then again 1place want to keep it simple and tight and this is what they’ve created.
All in all their offering looks good considering who it’s targeted to. Good luck team!
