According to Bloomburg, Salesforce is countersuing Microsoft over it’s recent action.

‘While this move is entirely understandable I wonder if it isn’t a mistake for Benioff and the gang at 1 Market.

Despite being a $1bill plus company, Salesforce has managed to retain an air of being the underdog (at least when seen in the light of the entire industry), which is actually an incorrect perception.

While salesforce is in fact a software behemoth, this perception of battling has helped push it’s message of bringing a revolution to the industry.

Now there are those who would say that countersuing helps with this perception – encourages a “David vs Goliath” type aura to events, but I fear that by the end of this action, both companies will look bad.

Yes Microsoft started it and salesforce has the right to respond, but I fear that its response isn’t one the market would wish, or expect to see from a little battler….
