A few weeks ago I wrote a post reflecting on VMworld and the new reality that VMware finds itself in given the rise of AWS specifically and cloud more generally. After the post Andy McCaskey from SDRNews contacted me asking to do an interview to further gauge my thoughts about where VMware finds itself today, and what that means for its future.

The interview was a great way of preparing for the panel I moderated at CloudBeat with VMware, Digital River and Bechtel (more on that here). Anyway, I’ve embedded the video below – the quality isn’t amazing, but given that the interview spanned half the globe, that’s understandable. As always, I’m keen to hear your thoughts about it.
