DSCF6398 Everyone knows that professional conference goers like myself attend events not to listen to presentations, not to network but to collect schwag. Over the past couple of years I’ve done fairly well collecting tech t-shirts and I decided to create a weekly series critiquing tech companies t-shirt offerings in the expectation that a company with  a great t-shirt is a prime candidate to have a great product also. Click here to see the series.

Recently I spent an intense two weeks of highly concentrated t-shirt gathering event attendance in the Bay area and Denver. One of the freebies at the Glue conference in Denver was this Microsoft Azure tee which really took some effort to obtain – the guys manning the stand seemed more interested in… well anything other than aDSCF6399actually manning the stand. Luckily I managed to nab a shirt in one of the rare times that they were actually there.

Hot

  • Not black – ‘nuff said
  • Made in the US of A by American Apparel (which as an aside is actually owned by a Kiwi!)
  • 100% cotton
  • Nice cut

Not

  • Well the print is perhaps a little large
  • My open source friends grimace when I wear it
