You mean that isn’t the entire whole world??????

By Ben Kepes

I just read here about a UPS run competition to find the world’s best, most innovative SME.

Great I thought, Cactus Climbing is definitely small, definitely innovative and definitely (and defiantly) built around a model that provides for sustainable ongoing growth. Why don’t I enter….

I clicked on the link, went to the “international small business competition” page and read…..

*The contest is open only to small business entities resident of carrying on business for income tax purposes in one of the 50 United States, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, the People’s Republic of China or Singapore

WTF?!

You forgot to mention:”revenue between US$250,000 and US$10,000,000″ Their definition of small and ours are somewhat different!

  2. benkepes says:

They are – either way a small (buy our measure or theirs) business from NZ is ineligible to enter – shame!
