Well quiet in terms of bogging anyway – just coming down from the Crowded House/Supergroove concert on Friday night – it’s about 15 years since I last saw Crowded House and they were fantastic.

In other news the HiTech awards were last night – congratulations (again) to Rod and the Xero crew, also great to see EnergyMad claim yet more prizes – it’ll be interesting to see how thy sustain their growth and if they keep innovating (and I’m pretty confident they will). More results here.

On another note I posted off my first ever patent application on Friday – of course like every start-up ours is going to be huge and game changing – in any case it’s nice to be doing it again rather than just talking about it. Running a manufacturing business is fun, and doing property development is fun, but a hi-tech start-up has a certain sexy-ness and adrenalin buzz about it. We’re just finishing our pitch to put to a VC in the next week or two – very much stealth mode at the moment but I’ll blog more as things develop.

Also big ups to C4 Coffee who have just shifted into their fantastic new premises at 165 Lichfield Street (ground floor). The new roster is going, the network is up and running (thanks to moi!) and the coffee machine is running hot. Next time you’re passing drop in for a coffee.
