  • I’m certainly looking with interest at how recent tech listings work out here in NZ. I haven’t seen much reason for listing here but think that as the global economic power base rebalances itself there may be some upside for NZ. In 5 years time we may see big tech markets in Europe, China and India amongst others. The domination of the NASDAQ may diminish somewhat.

    So for the NZ company looking to list it may well pay to stay at home and just play to different geographical sectors.

    Lots of ifs but I can see a scenario where NZ could have a really strong tech sector all listed at home but playing away through subsidiaries.
