Following on from a post over on Rod’s blog, I followed a link to Turnstone.

Turnstone seems (at first glance) to be a good example of a next-generation micro-telco. They do lots of good VoIP, fax to anything, toll-bypass, ISPing and private data stuff.

The proliferation of all these small providers doing good quality stuff is a perfect example of why new Telecom CEO Paul Reynolds need to provide value for his salary, his statement that “We are fundamentally a communications business and it’s founded on our running a network. I have no plans to change that” sounds great but what does it actually mean in terms of products and services offered and shareholder value over time?
