Take one part management of multiple cloud infrastructure and platform products, add a dash of open source into the mix, and you have CompatibleOne, a little known but increasingly important cloud management vendor. It is an interesting fact that there is much discussion about open source at the cloud operating system and platform level – indeed OpenStack, CloudStack, Eucalyptus, OpenShift and CloudFoundry are all open source initiatives, yet at the management level most solutions are proprietary. CompatibleOne is bucking this trend with an open source management product that gives interoperability between various cloud products including Amazon, Azure, CloudSigma, Dimension Data, Joyent, Go Grid, HPCloud, RackSpace, OnApp, Softlayer and vCloud, and PaaS providers including CloudFoundry and OpenShift.
