With a hat tip to Zoli I thought I’d post about something he mentioned – Mozilla Prism.

The concept is to create desktop window displayed web apps – one example of a use for this sort of stuff would be having Xero open on one monitor with Google spreadsheet in another – at the moment the only way to do this is using multiple browser windows and different browsers – Prism allows it in a traditional window format.

It’s not a killer app but could be useful to some users – those with big monitors and who do lots of web app stuff. I just installed it and I actually think it’s cool – below is a screen shot (bear in mind it’s a laptopscreen – a big 24″ would prove its value more).
