The New York Times went public with concerns around the fact that Facebook users were unable to delete their accounts. Within days Facebook responded, giving users a link to click to delete all their entries (rather than having to manually delete them one at a time).
What’s interesting here is not that Facebook has responded, but the fact that they responded quickly within days rather than letting the issue fester like it did with the Beacon breach of privacy issue.
Could this be a sign of Facebook in general, and Marc Zuckerberg in particular, becoming more mature in terms of external PR from the company?
