I’ve been invited to present at Forecast 2012 in New York in June. Forecast is an event run by the Open Data Centre Alliance looking at how Cloud is impacting upon the industry. My panel will look at Enterprise Cloud best practices.

As part of my speaking slot, I’ve been given a single ticket to give away to one lucky reader – the ticket will cover admission to both Forecast 2012 and CloudExpo New York (but, alas, won’t cover travel, accommodation or other incidentals – although if you’re lucky I might buy you a beer at the event!)

To enter, leave a comment below (before May 18) stating why you’re the best choice for the free ticket.

  • Hey Ben,

    Reason 1:
My family is back in New York and I haven’t seen them in quite some time.

    Reason 2:
ComputeNext would defintely love a free pass to the premier Cloud event, to talk about how our platform agnostic workload manager and marketplace not only expands the audience for data centers, but brings the utmost in data portability to end-users.

    Reason 3:
I wore my CloudU shirt to work yesterday 🙂

  • Hi Ben,

I think I would be a great choice to attend with you because this would give us a chance to meet in person and I can fill you in on the innovation Hitachi Consulting is currently engaged in. We are doing some very interesting things in the cloud that we will be taking to market quite soon. Also, Dallas is just up the road away from yours truly, Rackspace, and I make it down quite often to both Austin and, of course, San Antonio. I have reached out to John and Lew there to investigate collaboration opportunities, and I know you do a great deal with Rackspace. Also, someday soon, there is potential right around the corner where I foresee some cloud workshops, conferences, summits and other events you and I may be able to coordinate on. Opportunities abound and I think there we could do some interesting things together on the cloud front. I would be delighted to join you at Forecast 2012 and CloudExpo New York and kick around ideas. Thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Chad M. Lawler, Ph.D.
    Director, Consulting Services, Cloud Computing

Just looking at odds… I feel good. However I don’t have a family visit to throw in or a product to pitch to you.

How about, I buy you the beer?
