God give me strength…

So yesterday I got a call from our business banker asking what would make my life with BNZ Internet Banking easier.

“Well”, I said, “that’s easy. Don’t make me use three separate logins to access the 10 or so bank accounts that I have access to. Let me do it through one login – your system won’t allow for it at the moment but your system needs to be changed”

“Easy” said he, “multiple logins make no sense. I’ll get someone from our team to give you a call”.

Skip a day. This afternoon I got a call from a business support team person.

“I hear you want to combine some of your internet banking accounts” she begun.

“Yes” I replied, “I have access to 10 or so accounts for different companies and with different signatories but I want to access them all from one login – your system won’t allow for it at the moment but your system needs to be changed.”

“Sorry” she replied forlornly “our system doesn’t do this”.

”Yes I know” I replied somewhat shortly “your system is stupid, other banks systems are built to allow this and I’ve posted about this previously. Instead of giving me ulcers explaining what I want, how about you go talk to the people designing this stuff who actually understand and get them resourced to do what needs to be done”

“Ah” she replied “sorry we couldn’t be more help”.

So now I not only have a completely backwards internet banking system, but I can only conclude that bank officers are a little clueless. Darryl Gray, if you’re reading this, please help….
