I’m often confronted by people who declare their concerns about “newfangled technologies” in the business place. These people are generally comfortable in a position they’ve held for years, understand the tools for their job particularly well, and tend to resist change (be it technological or otherwise).
There’s no question that a move from paper-based to computer-based systems over the past couple of decades has led to employees needing to change the way they work. Large, paper-based filing systems may be inefficient and unwieldy, but they’re tactile, physical, and for those reasons, easy to comprehend.
