Google will now be bundling Star Office along with it’s suite of productivity tools.

This is really interesting. Google is the home of apps residing in the clouds, indeed Google docs is touted as an alternative to MS Office (and by extension Star Office/Open Office).

It would seem that this move is a tacit acceptance by Google of the fact that, when it comes to word processing and spreadsheeting tools at least, cloud dwelling apps leave something to be desired.

They’re right of course, ut part of me would love to see Google 100% cloud based.
