Everyone knows that professional conference goers like myself attend events not to listen to presentations, not to network but to collect schwag. Over the past couple of years I’ve done fairly well collecting tech t-shirts and I decided to create a weekly series critiquing tech companies t-shirt offerings in the expectation that a company with a great t-shirt is a prime candidate to have a great product also. Click here to see the series.
Recently Nik Wakelin, mild mannered honcho at MinuteDock (review here) flicked me an email to suggest I review their latest product offering in their “free schwag to gain immense worldwide attention” product line. Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth I agreed to take a MinuteDock T Shirt for a spin.
No I need to tall you I was a little distraught with this transaction – Nik is a typical young developer, at home with 80 hour weeks and caffeine fuelled, I on the other hand am practically a dinosaur (hell, I remember the launch of the original Mac and I’ll be 40 next year) – Nik obviously equated age with portliness and decrepitude and suggested I could get a large shirt if needs be. I sit here proudly typing while wearing my medium MinuteDock shirt that highlights my “not bad for an old times” physique. 😉
Hot
- I get to look at least a generation earlier while wearing it
- Have I mentioned previously that I like white t shirts?
- The branding is attractive, the byline sufficiently je ne sais quos
Not.
- I mean a hand crafted, organic merino shirt made by artisans down the road from me would be nice but still….
Has to be the first time I've ever been described as "mild-mannered" (or did I miss the tongue in that cheek?)
Hope you're enjoying the shirt – they certainly are snug. I'll have to go on a run with you next time you're up – I get the feeling you'll leave me in the dust despite the 20-year "head start" 😉
