This in from a friend who wants to remain anonymous….
Dear Workday,
When we met, I was amazed at how much we had in common. We both loved the cloud. We both had a complicated relationship history, and an ax to grind with our ex. We set out to conquer the world– me the front office, you the back office. Nothing could stop us.
At least in the beginning. Lately its been a little strange. Maybe we have too much in common….. kinda like kissing your sister, you know?
Then, I reconnected with my old ex. We parted ways a long time ago, and we’ve had some pretty terrible things to say to each other over the years. You know that nobody thought that we’d ever get back together.
But I have a confession: I’ve still been using her car to go around. When I started talking to her again, it was innocent enough– I just wanted to upgrade that car to the latest model.
But that got us talking– maybe I could move back into her house as well. I know, its not a multi-tenant apartment building like yours. I know, that big house is expensive to maintain. But hey, I’m already using her car.
I know, I know– what will our friends and customers say? I’ve been talking about apartment living for years, and now I’m moving back into a house! When I woke up this morning, my “walk of shame” to the garage made me feel a little dirty.
But its not you, Workday– its me. Sometimes, I can’t decide what I want to be when I grow up, and who I want to spend my life with.
Can we still be friends?

Pure gold huh? And more than an ounce of truth I suspect….
Quite well written and articulated in a subtle and funny way.
Nice Post
