The next 5000 days of the Web

By Ben Kepes

Check out the presentation by Kevin Kelly last year to TED where he talks about his vision for the next 5000 days of the web culminating in what he terms "The One" an all encompassing world machine.

His predictions;

  • There is only one machine
  • The Web is its OS
  • All screens look into the one
  • No bits will live outside the Web
  • To share is to gain
  • Let The One read it
  • The One is us
