I do a bit of work in the Design space. I see Design as being so much more than product or packaging, rather design is, to quote an organisation I have links with;
Design is the feedback loop between all an entities stakeholders and their strategy now and in the future.
Design allows them to take a futurist perspective and bring it back into the organisation offering them the benefits of;
- Being change leaders rather than change followers
- Creating a context for change and design methods that extract the value of that change
- Creating a partnership for long-term sustainable growth
With this in mind (and with the obligatory hat tip to Jim), I was stoked to see this presentation. While it is couched in terms of brand, its really talking about Design (capitalisation intentional).
